The sprayer is assembled by joining a portion of a 1 mL graduated
pipet (such as Pyrex No. 7065), a 14/20 ground glass joint (Ace Glass 7568-06,
Chem Glass CG-106-05, or Wilmad-Lab Glass LG-1016-110), and a sidearm connection.

A teflon thermometer adapter (Ace Glass 8300-07, Chem Glass
CG-1048-05, Wilmad-Lab Glass LG-10447-302, or VWR 70680-396) holds 7mm OD bent
tube drawn out into a capillary tube.

The capillary tube must fit through the pipet tip. In the example
here a small portion of the pipet tip was removed.

See directions for assembly and adjustment
of spray.
A commercial alternative that has proven to be relatively chemically
robust when spraying tin(IV) chloride methanol solutions is the sprayer from
Vick's Chloraseptic. Pump hair spray misters for brands that contain alcohol
also have potential. The spray from pump misters covers a wide area and care
should be taken with the overspray.
