Definition of Polyhedral Representation:
The clear octahedron with pom pom inside represents the chloride ion.
The various red connectors represent the sodium ions in different positions in the unit cell.
1 octahedron with one 1-prong "modified", 2-prong connectors
4 octahedron with three 1-prong "modified", 2-prong connectors
4 3-prong "modified" 4-prong connectors

4 octahedron with one 1-prong "modified", 2-prong connectors
4 3-prong "modified" 4-prong connectors
4 1-prong "modified" 2-prong connectors
1 4-prong connectors
Place three 1-prong connector into 3 of the 4 holes in the vertices of the four of the octahedra and one 1-prong connector in one of vertice (axial vertice) of the fifth octahedron. Now place the four 3-prong connectors into equatorial vertices of the octahedron with the single 1-prong connector. Finish the bottom layer by connecting the remaining four octahedra using the 3-prong connectors.

aPlace one of the 1-prong connector into one of the holes of the equatorial vertices of the four of the octahedra. Connect these four octahedra using the 4-prong connector. Now place the 3-prong connectors into one of the holes at the junction of the equatorial vertices. This 3-prong connector will be used to join the bottom, middle, and top layers.
Completet the structure by joining the three layers using the 3-prong connectors of the middle layer.
