Teacher Training WorkshopsThe University of Wisconsin - Madison's NSF-funded Internships in Public Science Education (IPSE) Program offers teacher workshops, such as "Making the Nanoworld Comprehensible: Strategies for Incorporating Cutting-Edge Nanoscale Science and Technology into Your Classroom," on a regular basis. With the help of Discover World Museum and the UW MRSEC, IPSE interns lead workshop sessions on "Exploring the Nanoworld" and integrating nanotechnology curricula into 6-12 classrooms. Teachers learn abut the curricula available through MRSEC and IPES, try out the classroom activities that have been developed, and interact with table-top demonstrations about nanotechnology and advanced materials. Upcoming IPSE WorkshopsWhen we schedule new upcoming workshops, we will let you know!
